LG BD300

. Wednesday, September 16, 2009

LG BD300 is the only Blu-ray models we’ve tested that can handle Netflix streaming. The capability requires ethernet, since the player has no Wi-Fi. You use a PC to queue up streams, which are then available via the player’s Netflix option. The LG BD300 did its best with the
black and white Good Night and Good Luck and the animated Cars, and its worst when converting standard DVDs to 1080p. The DVD tests that the image didn’t pop, The BD300 took less than 40 seconds to load and start a Blu-ray disc. There is no lag from the player when pausing a movie, and only a slight one when skipping chapters. LG BD300 include BD-Live support, as well as a convenient USB port in the front panel for viewing pictures and playing music, plus storing BD-Live data.
